Who can drive and who cannot
Self-drive on any car in the fleet requires the driver to be 21 or older, with full-coverage insurance that extends to the car and a major credit card in their own name for the refundable hold. That rules out almost every prom-goer, and it is not a rule we bend; the insurance is written that way. What it leaves is two routes: a chauffeured car, where there is no age, insurance or deposit requirement for the passengers; or a self-drive rental in the name of a parent or a sibling of 21 or more who meets the requirements and does the driving.
The chauffeured options
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the prom car: coach doors for the photos, the starlight headliner, and a driver who handles the venue. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is the quieter version with the reclining back seats. The Mercedes-AMG G63 with the Brabus kit is the one most teenagers actually ask for, and the Cadillac Escalade takes a group of up to seven, which is how most St. Pete proms travel. All four are priced by the hour with a three-hour minimum, which covers the pickup, the photos at the house or on the waterfront, the drop at the venue and the pickup after.
How the evening is timed
The driver arrives thirty minutes before the first pickup and stays with the car for the booking. A typical St. Pete prom runs: photos at a house or on the Vinoy lawn at five, pickup of the group at six, the drop at the venue by seven, and a return pickup at the agreed time. We confirm the schedule in writing with the parents, and the driver follows it; nothing changes without a parent's call.

What we do not do
We do not hand a self-drive car to anyone under 21, we do not allow a parent to rent self-drive and hand the keys to a minor, and we do not carry more passengers than seats. Those are the three things that make the evening safe and the insurance valid.
