Q2 Stadium sits just north of the Domain off Burnet, which makes it the easiest major venue in Austin to drive to and one of the harder ones to park at.
The approach
From downtown, Burnet Road or Mopac to Braker. From the Domain it is five minutes, which is why a lot of people make an evening of both: dinner at Rock Rose, walk or short drive to the match.
Parking
Stadium parking is pre-booked and limited, and the lots around it fill ninety minutes before kickoff. The alternative most locals use is to park in the Domain garages, which are free or cheap and generous, and walk the fifteen minutes. With a good car, the Domain garage is also the safer place to leave it.
Which car
If it is four or more of you, the Escalade: one car instead of two, and leaving the stadium area afterwards is slow enough that you want to be comfortable. If it is two, anything from the sports car list, parked at the Domain.
Making a weekend of it
Matches are usually Saturday evening, which leaves the day free. The Cedar Park and Lake Travis roads are twenty-five minutes north, so the natural shape is a Hill Country morning, lunch at the lake, and the match in the evening. That is the weekend the car earns its rate.
Delivery
Free to any hotel or address in north Austin, the Domain, the Arboretum and downtown, and curbside at AUS if you are flying in for the match.
