Exotic Car Rental for F1 Weekend at Circuit of the Americas

The United States Grand Prix is the biggest week of the Austin year, and it is the week this fleet exists for. Circuit of the Americas is fifteen miles southeast of downtown, the traffic on race Sunday is its own event, and the car you arrive in is part of the weekend for a lot of people. Book months ahead. The exotics go first and they go early.

What to know about race week

• Book in spring, not September. By the time the race week is close, the Ferrari 296 GTB, the Huracán and the McLaren are gone. This is the one week of the year where we genuinely run out.
• Getting to COTA. Highway 71 east then 130, or Elroy Road from the south. Allow double the time on Saturday and Sunday. Parking at the circuit is pre-booked and separate from the rental.
• Where you will actually use the car. Downtown to the circuit and back, dinner on Rainey Street or South Congress, and the Hill Country on the Thursday or the Monday when the roads are clear.
• Delivery. Free to your hotel downtown, to a rental house, or curbside at Austin–Bergstrom with your flight tracked. We will not deliver inside the circuit grounds on race days; the handover happens at your accommodation.
• Track use is not permitted. You can drive to COTA and park it. You cannot take it on the circuit.

The rest of October

F1 is not the only week. Austin City Limits runs two weekends earlier in October and fills the city just as completely, and MotoGP and the COTA concert season put pressure on the same dates. If your trip is in October at all, treat it as a sold-out month and book early.

Multiple cars for a group

Race week is the week we most often deliver three or four cars at once to the same address. Tell us how many and what time and they arrive together.

What you need

25 or older for the exotics and 21 for the rest of the fleet, a valid driver's licence, proof of full-coverage insurance that extends to a vehicle of this value, and a major credit card in your own name. International licences are accepted with a passport. The refundable hold is confirmed in writing before you pay anything.

How far ahead should I book an exotic car for F1 in Austin?

Months. The Ferrari 296 GTB, the Huracán Tecnica and the McLaren 570S are usually gone well before race week. Spring is not too early for an October race.

Can I drive the rental on the Circuit of the Americas track?

No. Track use is not permitted under the rental agreement. You can drive to COTA, park it and use it all weekend around Austin.

Where do you deliver during race week?

Free to your hotel, your rental house or curbside at Austin–Bergstrom with your flight tracked. We do not hand over inside the circuit grounds on race days because of the traffic and access restrictions.

How much is an exotic for F1 weekend?

The same daily rates as the rest of the year: from $1,429 for the Lamborghini Urus to $2,599 for the Ferrari 296 GTB, with about 15% off per day for three days or more. We do not raise rates for race week.

What about ACL and MotoGP?

Both fill October alongside F1. Austin City Limits runs two weekends and MotoGP brings its own crowd. If your dates are in October, book as if the city is sold out, because it usually is.
