What the daily rate includes
- Delivery and collection anywhere in Dallas–Fort Worth: Uptown, Highland Park, Plano, Frisco, Southlake, Grapevine, Arlington, Fort Worth, and curbside at DFW and Love Field with your flight tracked. No airport surcharge, no counter, no shuttle.
- Comprehensive insurance on the vehicle and roadside assistance.
- A daily mileage allowance, with extra miles quoted up front if you tell us the route.
- A ten-minute handover on the controls, the drive modes and, on the exotics, the nose lift.
Not included: fuel, tolls and the refundable security hold.
The four costs people forget
The security deposit. Refundable, held on a credit card for the rental period and released after the car is returned and inspected. It scales with the value of the vehicle, from about $1,500 for a C300 or a GLE to $5,000 for a Ferrari, a Lamborghini or the Cullinan. Ask for the figure before you book, not after; we put it in writing.
Mileage. Every rental has a daily allowance. If you are planning to run down to Austin, out to the Hill Country or across to Houston, say so when you book so the allowance is set correctly. Overage charged afterwards is always more expensive than miles bought in advance.
Tolls. Dallas runs on toll roads: the Dallas North Tollway, the Bush Turnpike, the Sam Rayburn. They bill to the plate and we pass them through at cost after the rental. Budget $10 to $20 a day if you are crossing the metroplex.
Your own insurance. We carry commercial insurance on every vehicle. What your personal policy or credit card covers on top of that is worth a phone call to your insurer before the trip, because assumptions here get expensive.
Why Dallas pricing moves
Demand in Dallas is event-driven. Cowboys home weekends from September to January, the State Fair of Texas in late September and October, the Red River Showdown, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in January and February, the Byron Nelson in May and the big convention weeks at the Kay Bailey Hutchison center all tighten availability, and a specific car on one of those Saturdays goes weeks ahead. Midweek in February is not the same market as a Saturday in October. If your dates are flexible, moving off a peak weekend is the single easiest way to pay less; the second is booking three days instead of two, which often costs almost nothing extra per day.
