How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Luxury Car in Austin?

Austin pricing has one feature no other Texas market has: a single week in autumn when the entire regional supply disappears and rates go wherever demand takes them. That week is the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. Outside it, Austin prices like any other major city. Here is the full picture.

• Sports cars — Chevrolet Corvette C8 from around $399/day. The best value on the list, and genuinely quick.
• Performance luxury — BMW M3 and M4 Competition, Mercedes-AMG. The sensible choice if you are driving a lot of Hill Country miles.
• Luxury SUVs — Cadillac Escalade for groups, Lamborghini Urus when you want both an SUV and a supercar.
• Exotics — Lamborghini Huracán from around $999/day, McLaren from around $1,199/day, Ferrari F8 Tributo from around $1,500/day.
• Ultra-luxury — Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Ghost, mostly for weddings and executive transport.

Mileage matters more in Austin than anywhere else

This is the Austin-specific point worth understanding. In most cities, an exotic rental stays inside the metro and the standard mileage allowance is plenty. In Austin, people rent specifically to drive the Hill Country — and the Devil’s Backbone, the Three Sisters loop through Medina and Vanderpool, or a run out to Fredericksburg will eat three hundred miles in a day without trying.

Tell us your route when you book. Mileage bought up front is always cheaper than overage charged afterwards, and this is the single most common way people end up with a bill they did not expect.

F1 weekend

The United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas is the busiest week of the year for exotic rentals in Texas. Availability across the whole region sells out months in advance, and last-minute requests usually cannot be filled at any price. If you want a supercar for that weekend, book it as early as you possibly can.

SXSW in March and Austin City Limits in October are the next tier. UT home football Saturdays and May graduation weekends also tighten supply.
