The United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas is the single biggest week of the year for exotic car rental in Texas, and it is the one week where planning ahead genuinely decides whether you get a car at all. This is what you need to know: what sells out first, what it costs, when to book, and how to use the car around a race weekend when the circuit itself is the one place you should not drive to.
Book early. Earlier than you think.
Regional supply for F1 weekend is finite and it sells out months in advance. Every exotic rental company serving Texas is drawing from the same limited pool of cars, and by the time race week arrives there is nothing left to move around. We turn away more enquiries that week than in the rest of the autumn combined. If you want a specific car, a particular Lamborghini, a Ferrari in a particular colour, the window to secure it is when you book the race tickets and the hotel, not when you book the flight.
What sells out first, and what it costs
In our experience the order is consistent every year. Lamborghini goes first, by a wide margin. Ferrari next. McLaren after that. Convertibles go faster than coupés for the same model, because late October in Austin is usually perfect weather for it. The Corvette C8 is the one that stays available longest and it is genuinely underrated for this weekend: mid-engine, properly fast, and a fraction of the cost. The rates do not change for race week; the published Austin rate is the rate. What changes is that the cars are gone.

Delivery, a daily mileage allowance and comprehensive insurance are included. The refundable hold is $5,000 on the exotics and $2,000 to $3,000 on the Corvette, confirmed in writing before you pay.
Getting to and from the circuit
Circuit of the Americas sits southeast of the city, out toward Del Valle, about fifteen minutes from Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) and thirty from downtown on a normal day. Race-day traffic on Highway 71 and Elroy Road is heavy and parking is organised in advance, so check what your ticket includes before assuming you can drive up and park near the gate. Many of our F1 clients use the car for the city and the Hill Country across the weekend and take organised transport on race day itself. If you are driving in, leave far more time than the map suggests, and know that a Huracán in a stop-start queue for an hour is not the experience anyone booked it for. A chauffeured Cullinan with a driver who has done COTA before is the one exception, and it is why the car is booked solid that weekend.
Delivery during race week
We deliver curbside at Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) with your flight tracked, and to hotels across Downtown, Rainey Street, South Congress, East Austin, Westlake and the Domain. Race-week traffic affects delivery timing as much as it affects everything else, so we build in margin and confirm windows rather than exact minutes. If you are arriving Thursday and leaving Monday, a four-day booking is priced about 15% below the daily rate.
Make the weekend longer than the race
The best argument for renting something fast in Austin is not the circuit; it is what is forty minutes west of it. The Devil's Backbone, Ranch Road 337 and the roads around Wimberley and Blanco are why people rent supercars here, and late October is the best driving weather of the year. If you are flying in for the Grand Prix, add a day either side and actually drive. The Porsche 911 GT3 and the McLaren 570S are the two cars built for those roads; the Huracán Spyder is the one for Loop 360 at golden hour on the first evening. Which car for which kind of weekend
The car is the point: Huracán EVO Spyder, or the Tecnica if you have already had the EVO. A group of four: the Urus, or the G63 if the Urus is gone. The drive: 911 GT3 or 570S. Arriving at the paddock club with a driver: the Cullinan or the Maybach GLS 600, chauffeured. Budget for the rest of the trip: the Corvette C8, roof panel off, at a third of the price. You must be 21 or older with a valid driver's licence, proof of full-coverage insurance that extends to a vehicle of this value, and a major credit card in your own name. International licences are accepted with a passport; tell us in advance so we can confirm before you fly rather than at the curb. A refundable security hold, scaled to the car, is placed on your card at handover and released after the return inspection.
