M3 Competition and M4 Competition

Both use the same twin-turbo straight-six and the same chassis. The decision comes down to doors and almost nothing else.

The M3 Competition is the four-door. Rear seats adults can actually sit in, a boot that takes real luggage, and the better choice for a family weekend, a business trip or anything involving more than two people. The M4 Competition is the coupé: same engine, lower roofline, more presence in photographs.

Both are quicker in the real world than a lot of what they park next to, and both are far easier to live with for three or four days than a Lamborghini.
