What Jeep Beach week is like
For a week in the spring, Daytona turns into a Jeep town. Jeeps of every age and build fill the hotel car parks, line up at the traffic lights on A1A, cross the bridges in convoys and gather at the main events, many of them lifted, painted and accessorised beyond recognition. It is a friendly, family crowd with a charity side to it, and one of the habits of the Jeep world is the little rubber duck left on a Jeep you admire. In a town full of Jeeps, an ordinary rental car disappears. The point of renting something else is to be the vehicle that people walk over to.
The four that stand out among the Jeeps
- The G63 ($899): the other square, upright off-roader with a cult following, and the one Jeep owners respect. Expect questions about it at every stop.
- The Hummer EV ($300): enormous, silent, with roof panels that come off. It is the closest thing to a Jeep’s open-top spirit in our fleet, at a completely different scale.
- The Urus ($1,099): a Lamborghini SUV in a car park full of Jeeps is not subtle; the Lamborghini page has the rest of the line-up.
- The Escalade ($350) or the Escalade 2026 ($499): seven seats for the group that trailered its Jeep down and needs one comfortable vehicle for dinners and the airport.
Beachside traffic that week
Jeep Beach fills the beachside. A1A between Ormond and the Shores is slow, the hotel entrances are busy, and the bridges over the Halifax River (Seabreeze, Main Street, International Speedway Boulevard and Dunlawton) carry convoys at all hours. Plan around it. Stay where you can reach the events without crossing the busiest stretch, use I-95 for the longer hops, and leave extra time in the evening. A big SUV is easier in that traffic than a low exotic: you see over the Jeeps, you are comfortable in the queues, and nobody minds a slow pace in a car this good to sit in. If you are staying in Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach Shores or Port Orange, those pages explain the best routes.
The week’s routine with a rental
The usual pattern: we deliver the day before you arrive, or meet you curbside at DAB with your flight tracked. Mornings are for the events and the Jeep-watching; afternoons for the beach; evenings for dinner and a slow drive on A1A when the light goes. One morning, take the Ormond Scenic Loop before the traffic builds: under the oaks on the river side, back along the dunes, the most relaxing hour of the week. At the end we collect from the hotel or at DAB departures. One rule that matters this week in particular: these cars stay on paved roads. No sand, no beach driving, no trails, not even with the G63 or the Hummer.
Something lower for the evenings
Some groups rent the big SUV for the week and add a sports car for a night or two: a Corvette C8 ($399) from the Corvette page, a 911 Targa from the Porsche page, or a Huracán Spyder for the drive to dinner. For the bigger events in Daytona, the Daytona 500 and Bike Week page and the Rolex 24 page explain those weeks; the Ferrari, McLaren and Rolls-Royce pages cover the rest of the fleet.
Cars available for Jeep Beach week, by brand
Prices are per day and are the Orlando prices, because these are the Orlando cars, an hour down I-4 from Daytona. Three days or more take about 15% off and a week close to 30%. Every rate includes delivery and collection in the Daytona Beach area, curbside service at DAB, insurance on the vehicle, roadside assistance and a daily mileage allowance. The whole list is on the Orlando fleet.
Requirements and deposit
21 or older (25 for the Lamborghinis, the Ferraris, the McLaren and the Rolls-Royce), a valid driver’s licence, proof of full-coverage insurance that extends to a vehicle of this value and a major credit card in your own name. International licences are accepted with a passport. The deposit is a refundable hold on the card, taken before delivery and released after the return inspection; the amount depends on the car and is confirmed in writing before you pay anything.
Frequently asked questions about Jeep Beach car rental
When is Jeep Beach in Daytona?
Jeep Beach is held in the spring each year. Check the organisers' schedule for this year's dates, then send us your arrival and departure: we deliver the day before to your hotel or condo.
Can I rent a Jeep from you for Jeep Beach?
We do not rent Jeeps. We rent the vehicles that stand out among them: the 2022 Mercedes G63 AMG (Brabus Kit), the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV, the Lamborghini Urus and the Escalade.
Can I take the rental onto the beach or off-road?
No. Sand, salt water and off-road trails are excluded for every car on the fleet, including the G63 and the Hummer EV. Paved roads, the drives on A1A and the Ormond Scenic Loop are fine.
How early should I book for Jeep Beach week?
Two weeks for the G63, the Hummer EV and the Urus; the beachside hotels are busy and the big SUVs go first.
Are prices higher during Jeep Beach?
No. The Orlando price applies all year, from $229 a day; the G63 is $899 and the Hummer EV $300.
