Daytona Beach Shores is essentially one road: A1A, with the ocean on one side and a line of condominium towers and hotels on the other, the river behind them. It is a separate city from Daytona Beach, quieter and more residential, and it feels like a long holiday street. That shapes the rental. You are not commuting; you are going to dinner, to the pier, to Ponce Inlet for lunch, up to Daytona or Ormond for the evening. A car that is pleasant at low speed with the roof down matters more than a top speed. The Corvette C8, the 911 Targa and the Huracán Spyder suit the Shores best, and the Urus is the one families with teenagers ask for.
Delivery to a condo tower
Condo deliveries are routine for us. Give us the building name, the unit and, if there is a gate or a front desk, the name on the guest list. We arrive at the agreed time, hand over in the forecourt or the visitor parking, walk around the car with you for ten minutes and leave. Collection is the same in reverse. Two practical points: many Shores buildings have covered garages with steep ramps and tight turns, which suit the SUVs better than the low exotics; and the salt air means we bring the car freshly detailed and ask nothing more of you than to bring it back as you found it.
Getting off the island
From the Shores, the Dunlawton Avenue bridge takes you over the Halifax River to Port Orange, US-1 and I-95 in minutes; that is the way to the Speedway, the airport and Orlando without crawling through the Daytona beachside. Heading north, A1A runs straight into Daytona Beach and on to Ormond. Heading south, it leads to Ponce Inlet and the lighthouse. The family week and the special day
A typical Shores booking is a family on a week in a rented condo. The useful car is a big one: the Escalade ($350) or the Escalade 2026 ($499) with seven seats, or the X5 ($449) for four. Then there is the day that deserves something else: an anniversary, a fiftieth, a proposal on the beach. The Porsche and Corvette line-ups are the sensible choices: comfortable, easy to park, still special. The BMW M850 ($349) is the grand tourer for people who want a back seat for the shopping. A monthly rate is quoted with the dates and goes further than the weekly discount.
Race weeks in the Shores
The Shores fills for the Daytona 500, Bike Week, the Rolex 24 and Jeep Beach, and its condos are among the best places to stay for those weeks: on the beach, south of the busiest stretch, a bridge away from I-95. Requirements and deposit
21 or older (25 for the Lamborghinis, the Ferraris, the McLaren and the Rolls-Royce), a valid driver’s licence, proof of full-coverage insurance that extends to a vehicle of this value and a major credit card in your own name. International licences are accepted with a passport. The deposit is a refundable hold on the card, taken before delivery and released after the return inspection; the amount depends on the car and is confirmed in writing before you pay anything.
