Lotus Emira rental in Austin: $719 a day, delivered to your door. The 2024 Lotus Emira is the lightest sports car we rent, a supercharged V6 in a mid-engine chassis that weighs about as much as a hot hatch, and the one that makes RR 2222, Lime Creek Road and the Devil's Backbone feel the way they were drawn. We bring it to your hotel downtown, your house in Westlake or Round Rock, or the arrivals curb at Austin-Bergstrom with your flight tracked. Call or text (512) 851-0490 with your dates.

Why the Lotus in Austin
Austin has the roads for it. Twenty minutes west of downtown the Hill Country starts and the Emira's hydraulic steering, 400 horsepower and 3,200-pound weight are the right tools for Loop 360 at dawn, RR 2222 to Lake Travis, the Devil's Backbone on RR 32 and the loop through Wimberley and Blanco. It is also the easiest exotic to live with in the city: it fits any garage on West Campus or at The Domain, it does not need the nose lift, and at 21 it is open to drivers the Lamborghinis are not.
What it costs
| Car | Per day | 3+ days | Per week |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 Lotus Emira | $719 | ~$611 | ~$3,523 |
| 2022 Corvette C8 | $599 | ~$509 | ~$2,935 |
| 2025 BMW M4 Competition | $649 | ~$552 | ~$3,180 |
| 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 | $1,039 | ~$883 | ~$5,091 |
Three days or more take about 15% off and a week close to 30%. Delivery and collection anywhere in Greater Austin, curbside at AUS, insurance on the car, roadside assistance and a daily mileage allowance that covers the Hill Country loops are included. Fuel, tolls and the refundable hold are not.
The drives
RR 2222 from Loop 360 to Lake Travis is the hour. Lime Creek Road is the quiet alternative. The Devil's Backbone from Wimberley to Blanco and back by 290 is the half day. Fredericksburg via Johnson City is the full day. The Hill Country drives guide and the RR 2222 guide have the turns, and the allowance covers all of it. Toward San Antonio, Highway 46 and the River Road sit between the two cities; see the Austin to San Antonio corridor page if the trip touches both.
Lotus or the alternatives
- Corvette C8 ($599): more power, more luggage, three colors; the value pick.
- Porsche 911 GT3 or Targa ($1,039): the step up in price and in sound.
- BMW M4 Competition ($649): four seats and a trunk with most of the pace.
- All of them, with the Lotus, are on the sports car rental in Austin page.
Where we deliver
Downtown, South Congress, East Austin, Westlake, Tarrytown, The Domain, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Lakeway, West Lake Hills, Georgetown and the Hill Country resorts around Dripping Springs. Handover takes ten minutes; we collect wherever you finish, including the AUS departures curb.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent the Lotus Emira in Austin?
$719 a day, about $611 a day on three days or more and close to $3,523 for a week, with delivery anywhere in Greater Austin and at AUS, insurance and a daily mileage allowance included.
What is the minimum age for the Lotus?
21, with a valid license, full-coverage insurance that extends to a car of this value and a major credit card in your own name. It is one of the few cars this quick in the fleet that does not need 25.
Is the Emira automatic?
Yes. The Emira we rent is the automatic, which is the right one for Austin traffic and still the sharpest car we have on a Hill Country road.
How much luggage fits?
One carry-on behind the seats and a soft bag in the small rear trunk. For a weekend it is enough; for a week with luggage take the Porsche Targa or an SUV and keep the Lotus for a day.
Lotus Emira or Corvette C8?
The Corvette ($599) has more power and more luggage room; the Emira ($719) weighs less, steers better and is the rarer car. For the drive, the Lotus; for the week, the Corvette.
